The active ingredient, deoxycholic acid, is a naturally occurring substance in the body that usually serves to breakdown dietary fat. In Belkyra it is injected into the fat cells in the area under your chin and eliminates them.

Belkyra is a non-surgical treatment to permanently improve fullness in the area under the chin. Your first consultation will include an assessment to explore your goals and expectations. We will determine whether Belkyra is recommended or if a different option might be more appropriate.
Some time will be taken discussing possible outcomes and side effects that could be expected as well as downtime and the number of treatment sessions required.
Side effects can include a fair amount of swelling, bruising and pain in the treatment area and this can last for 3-7 days.
Photographs will be taken and consent obtained and likely another session will be booked for the beginning of the treatment cycles.
