Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators are an effective, minimally invasive way of temporarily treating fine lines and wrinkles to create a softer look.
It particularly targets frown lines, furrow lines on the forehead and crows feet by relaxing the contraction of the underlying muscles.

PERSONAL
ASSESSMENT
At your consultation, a detailed history will be taken to ensure the treatment is right for you.

Dr Jodi Bibby will assess your facial muscles by asking you to perform a few movements including frowning, raising your eyebrows and smiling widely.
She will then use a white eye-pencil to mark the areas for treatment. The amount of units needed per treatment area is decided and will vary from person to person.

TREATMENT FOLLOW-UPThe area under the chin will be cleaned and a topical local anaesthetic applied to provide more comfort during the treatment. Once the numbing agent has set in, a grid will be applied to the area as a guideline to aid injections. A small gauge needle will be used to inject into the marks indicated in the treatment area. Each treatment will require multiple injections and usually takes about 20-30min. Following the treatment, the area will be cleaned once again and an ice pack applied to ease any swelling and tenderness.

PRE-TREATMENT GUIDELINES1. It is advised to book a consultation followed by a treatment session usually at a later date. 2. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are contra-indicated. 3. Be aware of upcoming social events and work commitments when booking your treatments. 4. Treatments will not be administered if there is any current skin infections in the area under the chin. 5.Avoid alcohol at least 24 hours prior to treatment 6. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications for at least 1 week prior to treatment, including: Aspirin, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wort, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Garlic, Cod Liver Oil and other blood thinning medications. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE STOPPING ANY OF YOUR REGULAR MEDICATIONS.
